The joke (was it a joke?) earns a slightly embarrassed chuckle out of Jake. He wasn't wrong. Their barometer for normal hadn't been in step with the general population of Ooo for a long time now. Still, this on felt like a bridge beyond their unique status quo.
Or maybe that was just him.
"Me? Psh..." The scoff wasn't an answer, though Jake seemed like he hoped Jermaine would take it as one. A few moments of silence made it clear he definitely hadn't. Oh well. "I mean, it was... It was kinda crazy. I learned some stuff about y'know, this."
He loops his arm into a corkscrew, as casually as one might blink.
"I'm not sure how to... Start, I guess." He shifts a little, looking his brother in the eye. He had been grateful that Finn asked him so few questions, too content (or maybe just too overwhelmed) to bother. Jermaine, well, he'd just been quiet. It was less encouraging. "People are gonna probably wanna know what happened though, huh?"
The misery of that truth soaked in a little as he spoke, thickening his voice. Jake covers his eyes, groaning.
"Ugh, let's cancel tomorrow, bro. No more Thursday."
