It was hard to acknowledge, but Finn could see that Jake was coming up with reasons to not go with him. There was an aching part of him that wanted nothing more than to do this with his brother - like the old days - so badly…but a slightly more mature part of Finn reminds himself that Jake had just hurt himself, and clearly needed some time to rest.

“Uh, yeah, I guess I could go by myself.” The disappointment in his voice wasn’t well disguised, and there’s a little slump to his posture when he turns on the oven. “So, what are you gonna do tomorrow?”
